This problem is personal.
Max and Dale spent years running healthcare technology projects side by side, one on the ground, the other directing them at the executive level. Every rollout was the same: a patchwork of disconnected tools managed by different teams, from clinical and IT to vendors, finance, and legal. Protea is the platform they wished they had on every single one.
How we're building Protea
Built from the inside
Every part of Protea exists because one of us needed it on a live project and did not have it. So we always build new features around what people will genuinely find helpful rather than what demos well.
Healthcare first, software second
We do not consider compliance, clinical workflows and the politics of a rollout across dozens of sites to be edge cases. They are the reason why Protea adapts to whatever healthcare technology project you are running.

Why Protea
Max spent five years of his childhood in South Africa, where proteas grow wild and the king protea is the national flower. It is among the oldest flowering plants on Earth. Over millions of years it adapted to wildfire, learning to hold its seeds through the burn and release them into the ash so new growth can begin. Healthcare puts new technology through a fire of its own. There is more of it than ever, yet the systems that should be making caregivers' lives easier are not being adopted because their delivery process is broken. Like the flower, we believe healthcare can adapt. Protea exists to fix how healthcare technology is delivered, so the people who use it can finally get time back.
