Information we collect

Information you provide. When you submit our request-access form, we collect the information you enter: your name, work email, company, the option you select for how you are reaching out, and any message you include.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting and form providers may automatically collect limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, in order to operate and secure the Site.

We do not intentionally collect protected health information (PHI) through the Site. Please do not submit PHI or other sensitive personal information through our form.

How we use information

We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, evaluate fit for our design-partner program, and communicate with you about Protea. We use automatically collected information to operate, maintain, and improve the Site.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help us run the Site and respond to you, including our form provider (Formspree) and our hosting provider (Vercel), and only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Data retention

We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to you and evaluate a potential relationship, and as required by law, after which we delete or anonymize it.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have submitted by emailing us at max@proteahq.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you specific rights over your personal information. In the past twelve months we have collected these categories of personal information through the Site: identifiers (such as your name and work email), commercial and professional information (such as your company and how you are reaching out), any message you choose to send, and internet activity information (such as your IP address and browser type). We collect this information for the purposes described above.

Subject to the law's limits, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request deletion of your personal information, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opt-out. For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom

If you are in the EEA or the UK, we process your personal information on these legal bases: your consent, when you submit the form; and our legitimate interests in responding to your inquiry, evaluating fit for our design-partner program, and operating and securing the Site. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Protea is based in the United States, and the information you submit is processed there. Where personal information is transferred out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect it. Cookies

The Site uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. We do not use the Site to build advertising profiles.

Children

The Site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
